automotive technician training
Automotive Technician School graduates will enter a multifaceted environment that offers many different career choices. If you've ever had car trouble you will quickly realize the importance of auto technicians and mechanics. If you like fixing cars and making automobile diagnosis, and you think it might be a good career choice for you, then you should be considering a certified automotive technician training program.
Programs offer a wide variety of classes including an intense classroom learning environment along with practical hands on training and experience. Typically automotive technician training programs run between six months and two years in length. Automotive technicians will use their skills to inspect, maintain and repair most cars and trucks.
Most automotive technician school graduates will start out as assistants to other technicians and complete simple tasks such as providing oil changes and routine service. After gaining further experience technicians will be asked to complete more complicated repairs and even use computerized diagnosis tools for a more precise diagnosis.
If you are interested in finding work in a bigger repair setting, then students should think about becoming an automotive specialist. Enrolling in an automobile technician training program will provide you with the best chance of finding a quality, well paying job in the automotive repair industry.
Median hourly earnings for an automotive technician vary depending on their experience, skill level, and location. Most positions range from $15.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on responsibilities and location.
