computer repair training

Computer repair school graduates will enter a multifaceted, fast-paced environment that is quickly evolving and offers eager graduates many different career choices. As a technician, you will learn how computers are built from the inside out and how to fix common computer problems. You will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. A computer repair technician also documents, maintains, upgrades and replaces hardware and software systems as well as supporting and maintaining user account information including user rights and security.

Your responsibilities may also include memory issues, error messages, or even malfunctioning company computer networks. It is important as a computer repair technologist to understand every aspect of how computers are connected and how their peripherals all communicate with each other.

Computer repair programs typically take from two months to two years to complete. With an education in computer repair, graduates can typically find high-level employment anywhere that computers are used, including both small and large businesses or as a self-employed contractor.
